Based on some of the previous reviews, I was hoping this tea would be better than green tea. I don’t like green tea but I drink it because it is supposed to be better for you. I have used white tea bags before & thought it was as good substitute for green tea. However, this tea is just as bitter as green tea. I have found that if I use each K-cup twice, the second cup is much better and not so strong. There is a definite apricot flavor, not orange, but that is ok. It’s the strong bitter grassy taste of green/white tea I’m not crazy about. I haven’t had much luck with any tea in a K-cup. I think I’ll stick to loose tea (often from cutting open a tea bag) in the My-K-cup.
I really like this tea and highly reccomend it, but I have to disagree with the review that states white tea is not loaded with caffeine. While it is true that white tea does have many health benefits and more anitoxidants than green tea, it can also have more caffeine than green tea. This is a very nice blend and I love the aroma. I have to have it early in the day though. I get migraignes and caffeine is one of the few things that really helps them. I do not like taking the medications that are loaded with caffeine and this tea helps me more so than coffee. I have tried finding nutritional information specific to this tea and as usual with k cups, I have not had a lot of success. I can only go with how I feel when I drink this tea and for me it is much more of a morning tea. I do taste the apricot more than the orange also. I think this is a very refreshing tea and will order it again. I am not a big tea drinker and have a hard time finding teas I can tolerate without having to add so much to it that I lose the benefits of the tea. I only add a small amount of splenda or honey to this one and I really like it. Just be careful with when you drink it. I thought I was getting a low caffeine blend and was up late when I first tried it. I would say it is likely that the caffeine content is not consistant from cup to cup.
This product smelled great when brewing but the taste was horrible. As it cooled enough to drink it the plesant orange aroma was lost and the taste became more bitter, sour and chemical like. I couldn’t even finish a small cup it tasted so bad.
But real close to the worst KCup tea I have tasted. If you enjoy a very weak flavor in tea this is the tea for you. None of the aroma as advertised, none of the aromatic wonders this tea claims. I have let other friends try it, and fortunately they are still my freinds in spite of this tea.
I was having an open house recently, and ordered a few herbal tea k-cup options to complement the coffee selections I had available for my guests. The shipment arrived just in time for the party, so I didn’t have time to try it beforehand.
I prepared a Asian stir fry for dinner this evening, and decided to try this new tea with my dinner. What a nice surprise! The aroma as it filled my cup smelled great and the taste was even better. A light, sweet fruity taste is what you can expect from this tea, with the apricot flavor most prominent.
If you are looking for a strong dark tea, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a light, slightly sweet, delicate tea with a complex fruity taste, give this a try — I bet you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.
