YUM! Soft, never gets bitter – even if I forget to take out the bag… it’s THAT good hot or chilled. At the end, you’re left with the refreshing spearmint flavor on your taste buds! mmmmmm!
Tazo Zen green tea with lemongrass is an absolutely wonderful tea. The lemongrass moderates the slight bitterness that is common in plain green tea. I’ve experimented with adding a twist of lemongrass to a plain organic green tea, and the flavor is similar. The lemongrass complements the green tea flavor, deletes any hint of bitterness, and contributes a very faint lemon scent and flavor that can’t be duplicated with ordinary lemon. I drink other green teas (for example, Tazo’s decaf Lotus at night, or Tazo’s jasmine when I’m in that flowery jasmine mood), but Zen is far and away my favorite. And, no, I don’t own stock in the company!
What few people know is that spearmint is an appetite suppressant. Tazo tea creates a wonderful flavor with this blend.
A very pleasant flavored green tea. The added Lemongrass and spearmint give it a “softer” flavor and takes off the harsher edge that green tea has. Sort of a cross between a green tea and an herbal tea.
As a tea lover, I must say that this is one of my favorite teas of all time. Tazo does a wonderful job balancing out the hints of mint and lemon within this green tea blend. This tea is perfect as is. No sweetener needed!
