The fact that it has “side sleeper” in the name should be a dead giveaway, but this pillow is great for side sleepers. I woke up 2 weeks prior to this purchase with terrible neck pain. I don’t like doctors, so I figured I’d wait it out until I caved and figured it was my pillow. Turns out it was, and this pillow made a world of difference.
Went through 5 sets of pillows till I found these. I love ‘em. They stay cool in hot weather and perfect for back sleepers like me.
This is a decent memory foam pillow, but I really don’t detect any cooling properties. Disappointing, since the “iso-cool” part was my main reason for purchase.
I purchased the gusseted side sleeper(for myself) and the traditional shape (for my wife). My wife hated hers and stopped using after 2 or 3 nights. I used mine for a week and thought is was good, but not $65 good. I spent $100 total on both pillows and expected them to make a dramatic difference in our quality of sleep. For us, this was not the case. Luckily Amazon has a good return policy and I am able to return for a full refund minus $10 for return shipping.
It’s hot here in DC (really, unusually hot), and the Tempur-Pedic® version I had of this contour pillow was making sleep miserable. Figured it was time for a new one, so I settled on this version… after a three-night test I can confirm it 1) keeps its shape under your neck (doesn’t flatten into a pancake), and 2) definitely stays cool! Sleeping straight through the night with great support, no tossing and turning, no waking up on fire. Mine came with the white cotton cover with the piping, but I put a regular cotton pillow case over it anyway. Definitely five stars.
