Wanted a coffee stronger than a breakfast blend but not as strong as a french or espresso. This is it. Clean taste.

First, quite often when you see the title “Columbian Coffee” you will also see the description underneath that it’s a blend of Columbian and some other bean. Columbian is a more expensive bean than, say, Arabica which it’s often blended with.

This is 100% pure Columbian bean and the taste shows through. I prefer this to the Starbucks Columbian because their beans are roasted slightly longer than they really should be (the coffee experts jokingly call them “Charbucks” but, don’t get me wrong, I buy the Starbucks too and like it…this just has a bit of a smoother taste in spite of it being a bold coffee.)

What’s better about the Starbucks Columbian is that you do get more in your T-disc. This will make a bit of a smaller cup. It’s not weaker, because the t-disc reads the barcode and automatically adjusts the amount of water, but if you prefer a bigger cup you may want to find another brand. It’s a regular size cup…fine for me. But it also makes it appear as though it’s cheaper when in actuality it isn’t because you do get less bean.

We rotate our coffees and keep several on hand at all times but we do always have this one. It seems to have universal appeal even if we have guests and we happen to love it.

Good taste and flavor, medium strong I think. easy to use, works well. Hard to find these in a store, got them quickly from Amazon.

I’ve tried Nabob Coffee before but nothing like the Full City blend that they have now. To describe this blend of coffee, I’d have to say that it is a beautiful darkest roast with a hearty flavour. If I hadn’t made the pot of coffee myself, I would have thought it was from a coffee shop chain. The Full City blend has a good aftertaste which isn’t bitter at all.

As well, Nabob Coffee is trying to make a difference in the world. They are now Rainforest Alliance Certified, with at least 30% of their 100% Arabica coffee beans meeting the alliance’s standards for environmental, social and economic standards. To my knowledge, they are the only major coffee company to take this pioneering step.

As a BZZ Agent, I was given the opportunity to try the Nabob Fully City blend at no cost to me however, I would recommend going to a store and buying this coffee.

I am so happy that Amazon is now carrying the international coffee blends for Tassimo. This coffee is hands-down my favorite and only preference for the Tassimo machine. This is a very common blend of coffee, very similar in taste to Maxwell House but without the hangover effect I seem to get from Maxwell House. It is a Canadian Columbian blend coffee established in the late 1800s much like the beginnings of Maxwell House. It just seems to have a smoother taste and no after effect of a headache or upset stomach, like I tend to get with Maxwell House. I am drinking Maxwell House now because I simply am out of Nabob and was not ready to reorder, yet. At this great price, I am not hesitating to order-up!

Visitors to my house do enjoy Seattle’s Best Henry’s Blend and Starbucks Verona, if they prefer a stronger blend of coffee. Starbucks is the strongest and needs dilution for some, though. If you consider the Jacobs’ discs, the Monarch is much like a demi-cup (small) of an Austrian chocolate-hint coffee. Kroenig is for those who know and prefer the german taste. The coffees and lattes from Jacob’s are light tasting in my opinion. I prefer a capuccino from a very upscale machine rather than those from Tassimo, but the Gevalia brand does suffice for caps, lattes, and hazelnut flavor coffee. Jacobs’ tends to be quite listless in taste.

For hot chocolate, the Milka german brand is good because it adds a creamer. While the Suchard is a non-creamy packaged hot chocolate sweetened with Splenda. They both suffice for out of the box style hot-chocolate.

Tassimo is a great “get-you-by” in the morning machine. It is decent, efficient, and reliable. If you like caps from machines like Miele or Nepresso or if you like good beans in a morning press, you will be dissapointed with Tassimo. Tassimo is what it is, a good one-cupper and Nabob is a smooth daily coffee that is definitely my favorite.
