Yes, the 40 oz package is a bit pricy, but if you compare it this way you might think differently.
I bought two (2) 40 oz packages (5 lbs); if I would have bought it through Dunkin’ I would have had to pay about $39.95 and $15.00 to ship it ($54.95 total), then I found out that Dunkin’ does not ship to an APO, so I would have been SOL.
I found the coffee on Amazon and didn’t have to pay for the shipping, the cost was much less than $54.95.
When the coffee arrived, within 7 days, I open the coffee, the robust flavor was in my face. I brewed a pot of coffee and knew I was in coffee heaven. Here in Japan, coffee is very expensive and Starbucks is the favorite place to drink coffee, but not for me.
Now I have my Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, thanks Amazon for thinking of us, the military civilian coffee drinkers overseas.
I didn’t realize until I had ordered it but the Dunkin Donuts coffe is way overpriced. The product is good but for Amazon to charge so much is my fault for buying, which I will not be doing again. At least not at Amazon, you live you learn.
Go to Costco this bag costs $13.99. Also cheaper at the Dunkin Donuts stores.
I’m a huge fan of dunkin donuts coffee, it’s awesome that you can buy it in a larger bag now. This bag also seals like a ziploc so it stays fresher longer, I highly recommend it!
Now as far as the DD coffee goes, it’s tops. A friend of mine turned me onto this coffee, saying that it was better than Starbucks coffee. I was a bit skeptical, but he was right. I do prefer this to Starbucks- the flavor is richer & it’s also far cheaper per bag. (I could get this size bag for a little over $ 12 at my local Wal-mart where a smaller bag of Starbucks sells for around $10. I will admit that there are some Starbucks that I’ll still pay $ 10 for!)
The coffee brews nicely & has a very good kick to it caffeine-wise. I’ve tried both this roast & the darker roasts, but prefer the medium roast because I prefer a more mellow taste. The only bad part? The price. As of this posting, the price is twice what I’d be paying in the store for one bag! I still do recommend this to everyone, though- just look to see if you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
