This is a great body pillow. Even for a 180 lb guy like me. It holds its shape. It has a nice soft outer layer, with a fairly firm inner core. A good balance of soft and firm. It is heavier than a normal pillow – probably due to the gel filling. I am picky about my pillows – but this one I do like!! Well worth the money!
I am pregnant and all my friends told me to get a body pillow to sleep with at night since I had started getting uncomfortable in bed. I am the type of person that only likes to have one pillow so I was skeptical. Although I am still not quite big enough to really tuck this pillow under me, it has helped a lot. My husband also uses it and loves it. In fact I might have to buy another one!! The pillow stays pretty cool at night, and is the perfect amount of soft and firm for me.
As far as body-pillows go, I have bought several in the past that quickly loose their shape and become uncomfortably lumpy within weeks. THIS HAS NOT BEEN THE CASE WITH THIS PILLOW. I am very happy to report that my husband spent a good hard month of twisting it, hugging it, and smashing it into submission and it still retains its original shape and “fluffy-ness” without any signs of the fibers inside “lumping up.”
My only qualm with this pillow is this: When the product arrived at my home, there was a small hole along one of the corner seams. I didn’t bother shipping it back, I simply mended it with a good sturdy thread and don’t anticipate having any further problems.
As a side note to those of you with allergies who have never tried hypoallergenic pillows… they make my dust allergies must easier to deal with. So that’s an added bonus.
tl;dr
Outside pillow fabric: 8/10 (for the minor, very easy to fix seam damage)
Stuffing: 10/10 after 1 month of use
Really liked it and am VERY happy with my husbands new body-pillow.
This was a good buy for me. Recovering from surgery this pillow has been a gem and I could not get comfortable without it. I used it to prop myself up. It has a luxurious feel to it. Not sure how long it will hold up, but it works for me.
I don’t know how much you can say about a pillow. I love it. It’s inexpensive and has lasted me about 18 months. I sleep on my side and curl up with my pillow every night (much to my wife’s chagrin!), and it has served me well.
