Not a genie in a bottle, but absorbs beautifully w/o leaving shiny finish. No fragrance–and no irritation to my hypersensitive skin (rosacea). Subtle results are almost immediate, but more importantly this product seems to be good preventative medicine. My lines (no botox 4 me) have remained almost unchanged in the time since I started using this at 40 or 41.
Just spent inordinate amount of time researching new products and am truly suspect of the marketing ploys, consumer “reviews” used online. Made me think to turn to Amazon. Found “my” skin product here and was somewhat dismayed to see negative reviews.
Previously I have ordered multiples of 3 or 4 from Janson Beckett to get best price. Unfortunately, I had 2 separate incidents of product developing an “off” odor when bottles were about 2/3 emptied. Emailed company after 2nd occurance and received 2 replacement bottles within a few days! Funny, but I didn’t even get a reply to my email. Just a swift, no quibbles response.
Glad to see I can now get my discounted price here w/o placing 3 bottle order.
I have been using this product daily for over a year and it works very well. After the first month or so of use I noticed a definite smoothening, disappearance of fine lines and fresher looking skin. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it doesn’t disappear deep wrinkles, but it does make them smoother and less obvious. Using AlphaDerma CE by itself doesn’t deliver the results, you do have to use it with JB’s “Daily Facial Skin Prep” and “Okusil” as a full regimen. I have found that it doesn’t give me pimples or blackheads, and doesn’t irritate my skin in any way that I have read about other products. I recommend it.
Update: Before starting to use the Jensen Beckett line I had only ever tried Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizer, which did absolutely nothing for my skin and often left it dry. I tried to do some research online to find another face cream and as another reviewer mentions, there was a lot of hype about Jensen Beckett lotions. After using these JB products for a year and a half, maybe two years, I realized that my skin was not improving, and perhaps even needed a little more moisture. I’ve since switched to Neutrogena’s Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream and find it does a better job then the JB line. Makeupalley.com and Paula Begoun’s website are great references for finding good products in any price range.
Ladies, I spend thousands of dollars a year on skin care products. This one does the work of many. It’s pricey but you can throw out almost everything else, except some eye cream and lip gloss!
I used StriVectin for a year and decided to try AlphaDerma. What a waste. It didn’t work at all, and I lost the benefits I’d gotten from StriVectin. AlphaDerma doesn’t hydrate at all, so you’ll have to be sure to use a good moisturizer with it. It’s really runny, not creamy at all. I quit using AlphaDerma after 2 months & went back to StriVectin. Don’t bother trying AlphaDerma. It doesn’t do anything.
After using this product along with Janson Beckett’s Cleansing Milk, toner, Skin Prep, Okusil, Vitamin C&C and DermaExcel for 4 months, all I have seen is more pronounced wrinkles and older looking skin. I’m 32-years-old. Growing in a tropical island accelerated the aging of my face, but I think that I still can repair it. Definitively not with these products. If I can post pictures of the bottles and my skin somewhere I’ll do it…
